The Firewood Department and Sierra Crest Firewood have combined to provide high-quality firewood to customers throughout the Eastern Sierra of California and Nevada.

Our Story

We are your go-to, reliable source for quality firewood — for sale and delivery. The Firewood Department is best known for high-quality hardwoods sourced from the retirement of mature fruit and nut trees. These premium species — Almond, Cherry, Apricot, Plum, Eucalyptus, and Mixed Hardwood — burn hotter, longer, and cleaner than average firewood.

By sourcing from retired orchards and productive farms, we supply a renewable resource that would otherwise go to waste. It’s good for you, good for the environment, and good for the Sierra Nevada communities we serve.

What Makes Us Different

Premium Wood Sources — Our hardwoods come from mature trees at the end of their productive lives. These trees have denser wood, which means more BTUs per cord and a better burn for your fireplace, stove, or outdoor fire pit.

HummerBee Delivery — We deliver your firewood using a HummerBee low-impact forklift. Your order arrives as pre-stacked ½-cord pallets placed exactly where you want them — no dumped pile in your driveway, no hours of restacking.

Eastern Sierra Experts — We know the climate here. Cold winters, mountain elevations, and the need for reliable, high-heat firewood. That’s why we stock a range of species to match your specific heating needs.
