Specialty Hardwoods

These premium hardwoods are sourced from mature fruit and nut trees. They burn hotter and longer than softwoods, producing less creosote and a superior aromatic fire.

Softwoods (Pine)

Pine and other softwoods are great for kindling, campfires, or supplemental heating. Lightweight, easy to split, and fast-starting.

Oak

Red Oak and Live Oak are among the densest, hottest-burning firewoods available. Excellent for wood stoves and long overnight burns.

Which Wood Is Right for You?

Wood stove or insert? → Almond or Mixed Hardwood. Hot, long-burning fires. Low creosote.

Fireplace? → Eucalyptus or Pine. These light easily so you won’t struggle to get a fire going. Eucalyptus burns longer than Pine.

Cooking, baking, or pizza? → Almond creates a hot, even bed of coals with no strong flavor. Many restaurant customers have switched from Oak to Almond.

BBQ, smoking, or grilling? → Cherry, Apricot, or Plum. Each imparts a different character to the food.

Campfire / ambiance for a few hours? → Pine bundles. Light, easy to handle, quick to start.

On a tight budget? → Ask us about Cottonwood.

What Is a Cord of Firewood?

A standard cord is a stack measuring 4 ft × 4 ft × 8 ft (128 cubic feet). Our ½-cord pallets are pre-stacked and delivered via our HummerBee low-impact forklift — placed exactly where you need them.
